Relevant B degree (commerce, legal, contract management, engineering or other relevant to operations/directorate business area).
Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a Contract Management and contract administration.
A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel.
Computer literacy in Microsoft applications.
Proficiency in MS office applications.
Special conditions:
Expected to work irregular hours to meet branch requirements, in different geographic locations
Key Performance Areas
Oversee, coordinate and control implementation of systems, procedures and controls related to the monitoring of activities and progress of Directorate: Energy’s internal project managers and contract managers as it pertains to the contract life cycle.
Oversee, coordinate and implement directorate contract management activities and administration support as well as apply a body of specialist knowledge and expertise to enable adherence to the Contract Management Framework and other relevant policies and procedures of the City of Cape Town.
Maintain a record of the directorate’s tenders and contracts as it relates to internal project managers, contract managers and other related stakeholders and ensure correspondence is conveyed to energy directorate staff.
Interact with stakeholders to control and coordinate the procurement process to ensure service delivery.
Oversee contract administration within the directorate by controlling, coordinating, implementing and maintaining document and records management to ensure adherence to policy, legislation and procedures.
Assist with the standardisation of contract management processes to improve the contract maturity of the directorate.
Provide contract management advice and support as well as conduct contract reviews.
