A relevant three-year tertiary qualification, preferably a B-Eng or BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Three (3) to Five (5) years’ relevant experience post first relevant tertiary qualification.
Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite and Retic master or equivalent.
Calculation of Protection settings experience is preferred or willingness to acquire this skill.
Registration with ECSA as a Candidate Engineer.
Extensive exposure to electrical distribution equipment and electrical distribution infrastructure, with particular emphasis and knowledge relating to MV and LV distribution switchgear, transformers, miniature substations and Variable Speed Drives, Electric Motors, Motor control Centres and substation ancillary equipment will be an added advantage.
Project Management experience will be an added advantage.
Valid driver’s licence.
Key Performance Areas
Contributes to professional functions associated with Electrical Projects (planning, design, construction monitoring, operations and asset management activities.
Assist with compiling tender documentation and specifications for maintenance and capital projects.
Participate in root cause assessments of systems and equipment.
Participate in investigations, capture and analysis of data, conduct surveys, analyse results
