Professional Officer -Project Development and Management: at City of Cape Town

Requirements

•  Relevant B Tech or B Degree in Engineering (from an approved ECSA accredited institution)
•  Must achieve professional registration within five (5) years of appointment
•  At least 3 years relevant experience
•  Well-developed technical and engineering skills
•  Software proficient (MS Office, MS Projects and SAP)
•  Driver’s License
•  Must have an abiding interest in the field of sustainable energy
•  Must be physically fit and able to conduct site visits, including capacity to walk unaided for long distances

Key Performance Areas

•  Project development, analysis and reporting on small to large scale RE projects including schedule and cost estimate development and management
•  Monitoring of project implementation services provided by service providers to ensure conformity to programme/ tender specifications including finalising bill of quantities and conducting post implementation audits
•  Liaison with internal and external stakeholders on project delivery and performance
•  Checking the budget allocations of specific acquisitions, interventions and/or activities required to sustain service delivery levels and preparation of motivations for approvals
•  Assurance of field work quality and performance management
