We are looking for an exceptional Programme Manager to implement an exciting new, small business growth initiative in the circular economy. You will bring valuable experience, strong sector networks, including market access solutions for SMEs and have a strong affinity to technology and innovation.

OUTCOMES:

• Co-design and implement a new SME growth program for 50 Circular economy SMEs
• Manage (recruit, contract and monitor) a diverse team of internal and external providers
• Analyse, interpret and improve ongoing program performance
• Identify, onboard and engage local and international clients & sector stakeholders
• Grow sustainability/ circular economy knowledge base
   

The ideal candidate: A skilled programme manager with a passion for generating measurable businesses growth and experience in circular economy / sustainability. Understanding of the Manufacturing, Professional Services, Water, Waste and Energy industries will be highly beneficial. Forward planning, agile methods, technology solutions, and the ability to work with and manage a diverse team is required.  This role suits a high-performing individual that enjoys personal accountability, brings drive and determination, is organized, analytical and excels in delegation

Role overview: The role requires the proven ability to project manage a world class small business development initiative, including effective deployment of an extensive support team, budget and resource management. Co-design and implementation of a multi-faceted program including technology-enhancements and access to market for circular economy/sustainability SMEs.  Deliver sustainability skills-transfer within Fetola. Responsible for client liaison, ecosystem development, reporting, data analysis and information sharing. Reporting to Operations Manager

Job Requirements 

• University degree or higher with qualifications in Business Management/Business Science and Environmental /Sustainability Studies.
• 8-10 years’ prior work experience in similar field
• Proven experience in small business development/ SME growth/ Supplier Development
• Innovative, agile thinking and strong leadership capabilities
• Excellent industry networks including access to market
• A good understanding of the policy frameworks and relevant institutions & organisations involved in promoting the green economy
• Stakeholder management
• Entrepreneurial experience – have previously run or currently have own business
• Excellent spoken and written English with public presentation skills
• Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite
