    Programme Manager - Century City

    The duties and responsibilities of the Programme Manager will include, but not limited to:

    • Develop/approve a consolidated AYP Programme Implementation Plans in alignment with the NACOSA strategic plan and funder grant agreements, that contain details plans of direct reports/ teams, and implementing partners.
    • Continuously deepen programme implementation through identification of service delivery gaps and opportunities for innovation and conceptualising these for programme expansion.
    • Coordinate the standardisation of the AYP Programme between implementers and external stakeholders as well as work with internal Programme Managers to seek opportunities for cross-learning and cooperation.
    • Use appropriate project management tools to plan, review and track progress on project implementation as well as on the utilisation of project resources.
    • Lead the planning of project activities and set high quality performance targets ensuring adherence to technical standards, best practices, and donor guidelines.
    • Develop term of reference and call for proposals for grant programmes and lead/oversee/approve the adjudication, selection of Implementing Partners.
    • Maintain a grantee contract management system and procedures for the programme.
    • Ensure implementation of and adherence to specific program policies and procedures by NACOSA and Implementing Partners and or direct implementation teams.
    • Assist with the Programme budgeting process and monitor and report on programme expenditure against programmatic activities.
    • Manage and approve spend of delegated budget lines strictly in accordance with programme budget, donor requirements, and NACOSA Financial policies and procedures.
    • Manage and oversee procurement processes of service providers or goods in coordination with Grant Manager and Procurement Officer. Ensure adherence to contract delivery requirements / SLA.
    • Review and analyse sub-recipient reports and site visit findings to identify service delivery gaps and enable meaningful consideration of implementing partner performance, risks and program progress and impact.

    Requirements

    Required qualifications, skills, and experience.

    • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Social Science/Public Health or related discipline. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
    • A minimum of 7 year's related work experience in leading direct implementation teams and or implementing partners in a target driven healthcare programme (specific experience required in implementation planning, technical guidance, logistical support functions, monitoring, and evaluation)
    • Excellent communications skills in English, including the ability to guide implementers and service providers on the programme.
    • Must be analytically minded and have excellent writing skills, including the ability to compile insightful and user-friendly reports.
    • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with experience of web-based data systems and ability to create graphs, flow diagrams and GANTT charts.
    • Must be highly organised, deadline driven and efficient with planning skills and a proactive and positive approach.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment, and to coordinate multiple inputs to tight deadlines, with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
    • Understanding of the NGO sector and knowledge of big donor processes/requirements.
    • Valid Driver’s license and willingness to travel nationally frequently.
