SALARY:

• R347 571.36 P/A EXC BENEFITS PLUS 30% TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE

PERMANENT POSITION

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12  National Diploma or degree in Community Development studies, Sports Science/Sports Management, Recreation Management, Arts and Culture, Heritage Studies, Public Management/Administration, or a related field  Computer Literacy- MS Office  Code B Driving License 3-5 years relevant experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participating in and/ or organizing Forums and Committees (sports desk, youth support structures) to promote engagement and discussion on social priorities and concerns.  Visiting communities to establish specific needs and/ or interpreting community priorities and requirements against plans and programmes and analyzing alignment options.  Preparing business plans outlining the scope and the feasibility of initiative, opportunities for donors/ sponsors, financial models and the sustainability/ value adding benefits to the intended beneficiaries. Organizing events and programmes in accordance with budget allocations, interacting with service providers and community organizers on specific requirements. Monitoring the delivery of programmes and, intervening to address bottlenecks/ constraints with the project management teams (i.e. local community access to programmes, relevance of the programme to the local situation, etc.).  Identifying creative talent in the local community, interacting with local artists and local business/ government departments and institutions with a view to obtaining sponsorships and scholarships to aide in the development of talented individuals Organizing specific events to showcase community talent in the Creative Arts, extending invitations to media, professional performers, institutions, etc. to view performance with a possibility of recruiting and providing opportunities to talented individuals.
