A well-established organisation is seeking a motivated and results-driven Projects Buyer to join its Project Planning team based in Kariega. This role is suited to a procurement professional with strong project planning, budgeting, and stakeholder management experience who can successfully coordinate projects, manage procurement activities, and ensure key project objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Compile and manage material cost and investment budgets for new and existing projects.
Monitor, maintain and report on project investment budgets.
Coordinate investment approval processes through local and group forums.
Support annual planning activities and budgeting processes.
Track and report on local content targets and project progress.
Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure parts availability, costing, capacity and investment requirements are met.
Represent Procurement in product team meetings and contribute to project decision-making.
Ensure standardised procurement workflows are followed and project milestones are achieved.
Minimum Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Logistics, Project Management, Economics, Finance or Business Management.
3–5 years' procurement experience within the automotive or related manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of procurement processes, project planning principles and relevant industry policies.
Strong financial analysis and costing skills.
Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management abilities.
Self-motivated with strong organisational, multitasking and interpersonal skills.
