Project Executive at eThekwini Municipality

Job Purpose

• Provide a strategic professional and specialist service for the functionality through the provision 
• of resource to ensure full-service delivery, guiding, advising, and supporting senior 
• management and political structures of the Council in related matters.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Directs and controls key project capital budget spent deliverables and outcomes 
• associated with the Municipality.
• Plans and coordinates the capital budget estimates and monitors expenditure against 
• the approved budget allocations for projects.
• Directs development of project management processes associated with the scoping, 
• resourcing, implementation, monitoring of service delivery and projects.
• Directs development and projects management processes associated with the scoping, 
• resourcing, implementation, monitoring, and communication phase of capital projects.
• Planning and controlling the Procurement Management functions and the procurement 
• of land.
• Disseminates functional and operational information on the immediate, short- and longterm objectives and current developments, problems, and constraints.
• Directs specific administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key
• performance and result indicators of the functionality.
• Directs the development of information systems required for the management of 
• municipal service delivery projects.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelors Degree (NQF Level 7) in Project Management or any other related and 
• equivalent qualification.
• 7 Years relevant experience.
