Project Lead - Prospecton Brewery at The South African Breweries (SAB)

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage the execution of Capital Projects at a Regional level following approved project processes to ensure budgets are met, timelines are adhered to, quality of delivery is to specification and business benefit is derived
• Ensure the Capital Budgeting process for the Region results in effective CAPIN business planning in the form of a Regional 5 year plan and a CAPIN budget for the next year
• Ensure that all Regional CAPIN projects are optimized using Capital Optimization and value Engineering techniques and that the projects business objectives are achieved by using solutions that are both technically and financially optimum
• Interface with Divisional Project Managers on centrally controlled projects and NPD Projects, to implement the site-specific project requirements using approved project processes and to ensure interface with relevant regional stakeholders and resources that are required to be involved to ensure the project is successful
• Perform Project Management process governance regionally by performing self audits of a cross section of Regional projects
• Deliver the Regional Capital Investment program to ensure maximized Business benefit by completion of projects in budget, on time and to the correct quality
• Ensure the Capital Expenditure delivers solutions that are holistic and applicable in the Manufacturing Environment and are full y integrated into existing operations (this includes appropriate technology choices, maintainability, operate ability, support, etc.)

Key Attributes and Competencies:

• Manage Human Resources, this includes direct reports, seconded resources to the project, contractors
• Maintain Safe, Healthy And Risk Free Working Environment , this includes ensuring that contractors comply with all legal requirements, procedures Manage Financial Performance, in specific, the efficiency of Capital and internal QESH Standards
• Ensure all projects at a Region comply with legislation pertaining to Sustainable Development and Environmental legislation
• Spend in terms of value (Capital Optimization), Commercial terms leveraged and optimized cash flows
• Perform Project Management Administrative Functions to comply with the Manufacturing Project Management processes
• Administer Regional SMDP and 5 year planning processes by facilitating regional Departmental Strategic review of Capital spend requirements to maintain Quality, cost competitiveness and efficiency as well as optimizing Capability as directed by Centre's of Excellence
• Ensure Technical Integrity of Capital Proposals or Requests Drawing & General Engineering Standards
• Project Management Standards. and documentation control system applied
• Manage Regional governance of Capital Expenditure including Capital Expenditure by Departmental Managers

Minimum Requirements:

• B Tech is acceptable
• 5 years Engineering experience in maintenance, design, construction & commissioning
• 3 years Project Management Experience
