Project Manager at eThekwini Municipality

Key Responsibility Areas

• In conjunction with the Deputy Heads of the departments, plans and controls the implementation of all relevant capital projects and developmental projects for the Unit.
• In conjunction with the Deputy Heads of the departments, manages and controls the  financial aspects of projects.
• Manages, develops and monitors the performance and conduct of staff and interviews applicants/employees for appointment.
• Manages the Branch’s budget, ensuring that all financial management policies and  procedures, including asset management are adhered to.
• Represents the Unit Head and/or Deputy Heads at meetings pertaining to capital  projects.
• Represents the Senior Manager Integration and Communication at meetings.

Essential Requirements

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in the Built Environment Civil Engineering or Construction
• Management or any other related and equivalent qualification.
• Registration as a professional with the relevant statutory body (ECSA or SACQSP or 
• SACAP).
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 4 years Construction Project Management experience. 

Preferred Requirements

• Degree (NQF Level 7) in the Built Environment Civil Engineering or Construction 
• Management or any other related and equivalent qualification.
• 5 years Construction Project Management experience
