    Project Manager Productivity & I2M SSA

    • You are responsible for ensuring that projects are successfully completed on time and on budget. This includes project governance, budget and timeline development, build quality, testing and operational readiness, and the completed project’s readiness to go live.
    • To be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of MSC projects, ensuring consistency with Company Strategy, Commitment and Goals.
    • The role includes but not limited to project managing of New Product Development/Innovation Projects, Productivity Cost Saving Initiatives and Process Improvements across SSA BU.
    • Drive a team that comprise off leads/experts, to deliver against cross product business category strategies and ultimately deliver incremental growth.

    What you need to know about this position:

    • This leader supports all productivity projects, and the Category Portfolio Strategies (all categories), interacting with the leadership team. This includes resource prioritization and creating linkage across the end to end Value Chain.
    • This role will have a team of reports (direct/matrix/support), responsible for delivering on project workload across Supply Chain (MSC and support functions) & Marketing (NPD / Innovation), and other areas of the business where applicable.
    • This leader must possess strong business, market and category acumen to optimize business results. Applies technical knowledge, business context and competitive set of information to drive business results and project execution decision in assigned Category.
    • Report Senior director MSC SSA / BU President, you will be leading, with your team, cross category and business projects that are product / productivity focused and you will ensure project schedule, cost, capital and quality objectives are met.
    • Maintain, track & report the portfolio of initiatives.
    • Manage the availability of Scoping Documents, Position Papers, and Business Cases for prioritised initiatives.
    • Ensure upkeep of Productivity with your team (VOLT) and cross functional teams.
    • Ensure risk mitigation (customer service, inventory…..) and business communication is carried out effectively for all initiatives.
    • Strategic MSC Projects, provide input to other functions (eg Procurement) on current make vs buy strategies to ensure valid information is available for decision making.
    • Apply general project management methodologies and follow the project management processes including:-
    • Facilitate the definition of projects scope, goal and deliverables
    • Define project tasks and resource requirements
    • Manage project resource allocation (cross-functional)
    • Assemble and coordinate project staff
    • Team to develop full scale project plans
    • Plan and schedule project timelines
    • Ensure delivering on the project timeline by all (Team/Support)
    • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
    • Provide direction and support to project team
    • Manage project budget
    • Constant monitor and report on progress of the projects, present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
    • Implement and manage project changes (Scope) and interventions to achieve project outputs within the timeline parameters for product supply/Marketing. Ensure achievement of timeline for the organization without jeopardizing product supply /marketing performance and key metrics.
    • Influence business decisions and marketing project timelines to incorporate product supply parameters and lead- times to ensure effective execution of all new product launches.

    • Ensure that all processes required for the above are mapped and understood by all stakeholders
    • Provide leadership as a single-point-of-contact, ensuring effective communication within the company / BU.
    • Provide project management knowledge and skills transfer as required
    • Lead and Manage direct reports, clearly define role & responsibilities (KPI driven activity based - output)

    What extra ingredients you will bring:

    Education / Certifications:

    • 10+ years of experience
    • Project Management or related Qualification with specialization in E2E Supply Chain and Marketing “Full Value Chain”
    • Proven experience of leading and managing major business initiatives with multi stakeholder management

    Job specific requirements:

    • Ability to demonstrate a portfolio of strategic initiatives that have been identified, implemented and successfully completed.
    • Proven experience of working within a strategic corporate initiative positions within the FMCG organization.
    • Demonstrate strong functional skills, including effective communication, financial acumen, integrated risk management, project management, quality & robustness, regulation & safety, scientific rigor and technical curiosity.
    • Demonstrated multi language skills within a fast moving, multi-cultural business.
    • Customer relationship building skills.
    • Previous management experience in Marketing, Planning, Logistics and/or Sales.
    • Excellent knowledge of the end to end business processes. (E2E supply chain / Marketing)
    • Analytical problem solving.
    • Pro-active and collaborative team player who is able to influence cross-functionally.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with success in influencing others in cross-functional areas.
    • Business Acumen, understands business implications of decisions; aligns work with strategic goals.
    • Possess a strong work ethic and sense of urgency, self-starter.
    • Strong understanding of Total Cost of Ownership and how trade off decisions impact delivered cost. This requires sound understanding of cost drivers in Supply Chain management.
