Protection Senior Engineer - JHB at Surbana Jurong Private Limited

The Key responsibilities for this role are to :

• Oversee the comprehensive management of medium to large-scale Secondary Plant projects. 
• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure project success. 
• Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and outsourcing, while collaborating with other sections to align on project budgets for large-scale endeavors. 
• Produce technically proficient and well-presented technical reports. 
• Review and take accountability for the work performed by project team members. 
• Represent technical work through presentations and client interactions. 
• Craft effective responses to bids. 
• Possess a thorough understanding of work procedures and ability to brief project teams accordingly. 
• Delegate tasks to team members as needed. 
• Maintain regular communication with clients under the guidance of more senior management. 
• Foster strong client relationships. 
• Demonstrate proficiency in identifying and pursuing additional work opportunities related to ongoing projects. 
• Exhibit a clear understanding of local business technologies and markets. 
• Engage clients in detailed discussions regarding business technologies and markets. 
• Provide training in respective functional areas and contribute to team-building efforts. 
• Promote Substations Protection, Measurement, and Control technical capabilities in the market. 
• Supervise Engineers or Technicians in conducting checks and inspections of constructed works to ensure compliance with design and specifications, proposing remedial actions as necessary.

Recommended Qualifications, Skills And Experience

• Bachelor of Engineering degree/higher degree from accredited university/college
• Relevant Professional Registration
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience
• Knowledge of QA and OHS requirements in SMEC
• Knowledge of the commercial aspects of project management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively write reports
• Courteous and business orientated manners when communicating with stakeholders to foster and promote good working relations
• Co-operative and flexible work style to work in a team environment
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Ability to make technical decisions which are outcome driven
