    Senior Material Teechnician - Msikaba Bridge

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prioritize, schedule, perform and document field and laboratory testing to evaluate the acceptability of materials used on the structures and road construction.
    • Interpret engineering test methodologies in accordance with COLTO, TMH, TRH, TG-series, SANS, and other relevant standards
    • Review and evaluate available construction materials and sources, and prepare laboratory and field computations to evaluate results and classify materials
    • Maintain records of all testing performed in the field and laboratory, and compile material as-built documentation
    • Monitor the calibration and serviceability of laboratory and field testing equipment, and liaise with commercial laboratories regarding such
    • Resolve issues with Contractor and Engineer regarding non-compliance with materials specifications, and make recommendations for corrective action that may be needed
    • Communicate with the Employer’s materials staff, and ensure compliance with the Employer’s reporting and other requirements

    Recommended Qualifications, Skills, And Experience

    Assistant Resident Engineer - Msikaba Bridge

    Key Responsibilities

    • Acting as Assistant Resident Engineer.
    • Managing technical aspects on site, such as road works, bridge erection engineering aspects, geometric control in the erection of piers and decks, technical road works aspects, etc.
    • Liaison with designers regarding site engineering queries when necessary.
    • Evaluation and approval of method statements.

    Asset Practitioner

    The Key responsibilities for this role are to:

    • Provide comprehensive technical support and analysis to enhance projects across service lines in Management Services.
    • Implement and oversee Infrastructure and Asset Management Projects.

    • Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in Engineering and minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in Asset Management
    • Registration with SAAMA/WPIAM as CAMA will be an added advantage.
    • Previous experience as project lead for IAM projects and personnel will be an added advantage.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in compilations of Infrastructure Asset Management Plans.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the preparation and compilation of Fixed Asset Registers.
    • Familiarity with ISO55000 framework.
