    Job Description
    You will be responsible for

    • Investigating crime and the transgression of standards and procedures.
    • Ensure that safety and legal standards are adhered to in performing protection duties.
    • Monitor and advise on the settings of monitoring equipment to optimize performance.
    • Issue, receive and register all equipment in the department including firearms and specialist security equipment.
    • Compile accurate security reports including incident and investigation reports.
    • Support and participate in the training and development requirements of employees.
    • Develop a trusting and mutual respect relationship with the roles stakeholders.

    Qualifications
    You will need:

    • Grade 12
    • Certificate in Investigation /Policing/Security/Law (RPL can be applied to recognize skills obtained through short courses and experience)
    • Registered with PSIRA Grade B
    • Applicable firearm Unit Standard qualifications
    • Armed response qualification
    • Tactical Unit Standard Qualifications

    Experience required:

    • Minimum 4 years experience in Security or equivalent environment of which 2 years should be in Investigation/Intelligence/Logistics and or Surveillance
    • 2 years experience in a supervisory position
    • CCTV surveillance systems and control room experience
    • Strong external relationships with SAPS and Protection Service Specialists

    You will also need to have:

    • Valid driving license
    • Psychometric Assessment for firearms
    • Firearm Competency
    • No criminal record
    • Pass polygraph test
