QA Automation Engineer (RSA Remote) - Total Plan at Burgiss

About the role: 

• We are seeking a talented, entrepreneurial QA Automation Engineer who is a team-player by nature, to contribute to the development of the firm's core application in an energetic, fast-paced environment. The role provides a great opportunity to develop a substantial portion of the system, from the design and architecture, to implementation, deployment and maintenance. This is a full-time position.
• Our technology stack includes but is not limited to .NET Core, Docker Containers, Angular11+, Azure, AzureDevOps, Kubernetes, SASS, Node.js, RESTful APIs, SQL Server, MongoDB, JavaScript API for Office, Git

Responsibilities:

• Author comprehensive and quality automated tests using Cucumber.
• Work with product owners and software engineers to understand requirements and define test plans for new and existing features.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using Cucumber.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Perform manual testing where automation testing is costly or hard to test.

Required Qualifications:

• 3 + years experience with automation testing framework, preferably Cucumber.
• An opinion about what code to test and how to test it.
• Demonstrable grasp/practical experience with CI/CD processes.
• Demonstrable grasp/practical experience with OOP concepts, SOLID principles, and ability to design highly scalable code
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all project team members and stakeholders (locally and globally) is very important

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with C# and JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus.
• Experience with BDD, xUnit or other testing frameworks is a plus.
• Experience or knowledge of the Agile methodologies;
• Experience in the Financial Services Domain;
