QA Team Lead at Clickatell

• Apply various testing methods and tools to technically test Clickatell’s products and integration to other applications and services
• Create, update, and execute test plans and test cases for new and existing functionality
• Continuously improve test coverage by implementing new manual and automated tests
• Review user stories to determine requirements, acceptance criteria, and test approach
• Provide feedback and recommendations regarding software functionality, usability, and defects
• Assisting customers, internal stakeholders, and vendors with troubleshooting end-to-end solutions
• Create and update internal QA documentation
• Participate in Agile workflows such as grooming, sprint planning, daily scrum stand-ups, retrospectives
• Owning the level of quality achieved by your team; providing sign-off of the test execution
• Representing your QA team as their primary point of contact for managers and other stakeholders
• Producing and communicating updates, and ensuring the handover of information between geographically distributed teams
• Reviewing and tracking activities of your QA team to provide guidance and manage workflow
• Developing your QA team's expertise through continuous improvement and mentoring of team members
• Taking a data-driven approach to identify areas for improvement and drive team performance
• Planning, coordinating, implementing your QA team’s test schedules and strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates
• Identify and provide assessments of potential risks affecting schedule or quality, escalating matters to management and relevant stakeholders as needed
• Engaging with key stakeholders to understand quality issues and incorporate feedback into QA processes
• Being a core contributor in discussions of test processes, architecture, design, and implementation, along with management and other QA Team Leads

• Reporting tools such as Allure
• Build and automation tools such as Jenkins and Maven

• Git or other source control management tools
• Performance and stress testing tools such as JMeter
• Programming experience in Java or other language
• AWS (Amazon Web Services) or other cloud-based infrastructures

Our Champions journey so far:

• Has successfully led a small team of QA Engineers
• Minimum 5+ years experience as a hands-on QA Engineer
• Diploma in Information Technology, BTech (IT) or Computer Science Degree a significant advantage.
• ISEB/ISTQB certification in software testing an advantage
• Experience in the telecommunications or finance industry an advantage
