Quality Assurance Engineer at Pollock & Associates

• Reporting to the Engineering Maintenance Manager, this role is central to ensuring that engineering processes, systems, and standards consistently meet customer, compliance, and business requirements.
• Leading a team of seven, you will oversee quality control, system audits, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and maintenance operations. This position is critical to safeguarding manufacturing standards, driving cost efficiency, and maintaining stakeholder confidence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (NQF 6) required, Degree advantageous.
• Up to 5 years’ experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of quality and engineering maintenance systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office and job-specific software.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance processes for electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain QA documentation and engineering records, ensuring compliance with manufacturing specifications.
• Support internal and external audits, implementing corrective and preventative measures.
• Oversee quality and inspection systems, driving improvements in performance and efficiency.
• Manage facilities team operations, reporting, and technical support.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, financial, and compliance requirements.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
