    Quality Manager

    Reporting To: Head of Quality and Supplier Management

    The Quality Manager will play a key role in implementing and developing quality processes and procedures with a strong focus on promotional products and point of sale.

     

    The Quality Manager will be jointly responsible for interfacing with suppliers to meet and improve quality and certification targets. The Quality Manager will also be expected to drive compliance to the expected standard with internal teams via audits, training or upliftment.

    The Quality Manager will be responsible for delivering reporting objectives to support business KPIs.

    The Quality Manager will be expected to have an understanding of the markets Point operates in, the manufacturing environment, sustainability and responsible sourcing.

    The position will report directly to the Head of Quality and Supplier Management. In addition, the role will work closely with Regional Quality and Supplier Managers, the Promotional Products Team and Operational Managers to achieve sourcing, savings and certification goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    Operational Management (75%)

    • Perform supplier site visits and audits as required.
    • Asses quality issues and perform root cause analysis.
    •  Work closely with the operations team to support strategic sourcing projects and customer bids.
    • Support client operational teams at project level.
    • Support Quality and Supplier Managers in multiple countries.
    • Facilitate and validate quality documentation.
    • Develop/enhance supplier facing certification/quality documentation.
    • Interfacing with Suppliers on quality requirements and ensure understanding and adherence.
    • Interfacing with internal stakeholder on quality requirements and drive adherence.
    • Conducting traceability exercises.
    •  Ensure the complete follow through of quality objectives. This includes managing the product/supplier certification and quality assurance. This includes solving problems involving supplier non-performance, non-compliance and other issues that may arise.
    • Identify risks and compliance gaps in the supply chain.
    • Identify opportunities for excellence and improvements in the supply chain.
    • Developing best practice processes and work with the internal stakeholders to enhance existing procurement processes. This includes the documentation of processes.

    Reporting (10%)

    • Gather and present relevant data in am appropriate and digestible format.

    Business Development (5%)

    • Work in close cooperation with the Industrial Design, Promo, Client Service team to secure growth and seeks new opportunities within existing clients.
    • Understand and interpret client needs, matching Point services to relevant needs.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Engineering, Material Management, Supply Chain Management or relevant field.
    • Project Management experience.
    • Experience in quality control/quality assurance
    • Experience in the manufacturing environment
    • Responsible sourcing training, SEDEX, Ecovadis

    • Excellent consultative skills including stakeholder relationship management.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
    • Demonstrated success in developing and fostering relationships with suppliers while driving lower costs, superior performance and continuous improvement.
    • Demonstrated team building and leadership skills.
    • Have good business acumen.
    • Proactive and result orientated.
    • Ability to think strategically.
    • Ability to work in multi-tasking and multi-cultural environment.
    • Financial and Quantitative skills advantageous.
