    Recoveries Manager

    Main Purpose

    • To manage, influence and guide EDC processes and tactical/strategic operational initiatives in order to maximize recoveries through improved efficiency and effectiveness measures - Define, analyse, report, monitor and mitigate risks associated with legal collections and statutory processes -whilst ensuring compliance to SLA's and legislative requirements.

    Qualifications

    • A relevant law degree (i.e. B. Comm (Law) or LLB degree)
    • Post-graduate qualification - Advantageous

     

    Experience Required

    • At least 5 years in a legal collections / recoveries and regulatory / industry role within the collections, financial and / or retail industry including functional experience related to:
    • Managing a collections environment (i.e. call centre and/or campaign management)
    • Process management
    • Legal Collections (Legal follow-up processes and strategies)
    • Managing EDCs
    • At least 3 years’ Debt Review, Administration and Estates related experience

     

    Additional Requirements

    • Sound knowledge of relevant Statutory requirements and all legal procedures;
    • In depth knowledge of the process workflow of overall Outsourced Collections and Recoveries -Processes;
    • Own reliable transport and valid driver’s licence are pre-requisites
    • Willingness to travel nationally on a regular basis
    • Ability to work in an open plan environment
