    Regional Manager

    Role Description

    The Regional Manager is responsible for ensuring that the regional teams work together in delivering on the planned growth of schools in the region whilst supporting environments in achieving the required organisation’s benchmarks of use. You will be required to deliver on project school timelines within the stipulated regional budgets and play an active role in cost reductions within established existing environments. The role will require active engagement with district offices, leveraging district resources to assist in capacity building. You will need to work closely with the Project Manager to drive sustainability in the region through examining the feasibility of cost sharing between schools and the organisation.

    Salary

    R25,000 – R30,000 (negotiable based on experience)

    • 5% pension fund contribution

    • Mileage reimbursed at rate linked to AA rates
    • Annual leave - 20 Days

    Responsibilities

    • Operations, logistics and project management
    • Team management and development, including monthly team KPIs
    • Driving school performance through the regional teams
    • Ensuring teams execute on regional growth targets
    • Submit project plans for growth to Project Manager clearly indicating budget implication
    • District collaboration – leading the relationship with districts, regularly meeting with each district and driving sustainability through cost sharing and human resource allocations
    • There are skills needed by the organisation that may be identified above and beyond what the role requires. This may be assigned to you as part of your role.

    Key Performance Metrics:

    The Regional Manager will be accountable for their team’s delivery across the growth, maintenance and training functions. The Project Manager/Chief Operating Officer will conduct monthly KPI sessions assessing the following key metrics:

    • ≥80% usage
    • ≥40min average active time
    • Percentage of targeted schools launched

    Requirements

    • Minimum qualification - Matric Certificate
    • Training expertise in the education sector
    • At least 5 - 8 years’ experience in project management and the management of teams
    • Strong planning, mentorship, and development skills
    • Strong affinity towards teamwork
    • Record keeping skills with strong IT knowledge
    • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proven work experience in project operations management
    • Above average knowledge of administrative effectiveness and operations management
    • Good knowledge of budget planning and execution, with familiarity of business and financial principles
    • Strong interpersonal, management and leadership skills – ability to communicate and motivate the team
