Duties
Contribute to the Supply Chain Strategy
Drive the implementation of the Supply Chain Location strategy (architecture)
Keep abreast of local and international Supply Chain Operations’ developments
Co-design and develop the Supply Chain Operations strategy
Drive the implementation of the Supply Chain Operations policies and procedures to enable the strategy
Drive the implementation of the Supply Chain operating plan for the short, medium and long term
Analyse Service Centre inventory reports, identify deviations, investigate causes and implement corrective actions for the division
Verify that stock accuracy controls and safekeeping practices for inbound, storage and outbound functions are in place for the division
Implement effective and efficient inventory control measures for the division
Provide relevant feedback to the Operations Executive regarding inventory
Drive performance improvement and continuous improvement in the division
Manage the budgets for the Service Centre’s in the division within the provided financial constraints
Approve relevant operational expenditure in line with the financial guidelines and policy
Identify and investigate any budget deviations and take corrective action
Implement relevant financial controls in the Service Centre’s in the division
Compile relevant reports with regards to the Service Centre’s budgets for the division
Protect company assets in the division
Drive compliance to Employment Equity legislation and Skills Development within team
Implement an on-boarding and induction process and ensure newly recruited staff attends
Analyse labour requirements and takes corrective action to fulfil any labour requirements.
Enhance staff retention and identify trends to reduce staff turnover within team
Monitor staff satisfaction to reduce risk and meet the business objectives of the organisation
Conduct monthly one-on-one sessions with team members
Coach and mentor team members
Create succession plan within team ensure that medium and long term talent requirements are catered for Manage team development by providing role clarity, allowing them skills diversity,performance managing and developing them appropriately
Demonstrate abilities to anticipate and manage change
Ensure that team members are customer focused and provide guidance, support or advice in situations where required
Manage a healthy relationships with shop stewards and unions
Comply to any agreements, policies and procedures regarding labour
