    Regional Sales Manager

    What You Can Expect

    • The incumbent will be responsible to manage sales in the specified region by fostering long-lasting relationships through commercial and technical support with key stakeholders and partners.

    Duties will include the following:

    • Manage Sales in respective region to ensure sustainable growth and targets are reached
    • Optimize marketing material in crop protection in line with area strategy in partnership with the marketing department
    • Manage and improve key customer relationships (distributors, agents and farmers)
    • Ensure accurate monthly and annual forecasting to ensure having product on time in full
    • Develop proposals for strategic product positioning in the region and ensure implementation
    • Establish sound relationships and conduct regular meetings with area team, customers agents and their management structures
    • Provide support to agents during farmers day and other sales events
    • Provide on farm technical support for distributor agents
    • Provide technical training to distributors/agents/farmers
    • Attend crop meetings where necessary
    • Create strategic product positioning documents for season
    • Communicate crop team decision and implement with customer’s management and agents
    • Manage and monitor demo trials applicable to specified region
    • Adherence to and compliance with all BASF guidelines and procedures
    • Actively represent BASF Group interests and act as a role model with regards to compliance and Code of Conduct

    What We Expect

    • Degree in Agricultural Sales, Marketing, or any other equivalent tertiary qualification
    • Minimum 3 - 5 years working experience in sales, marketing or in the agricultural industry
    • Good understanding of fungicides, herbicides, and pesticides
    • Proficient in MS Office packages including Excel and Power Point
    • Excellent presentation skills to uphold BASF Agricultural Product brand image
