We are recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager on behalf of our client, a leading international metering and utilities company providing technology-driven solutions to the property, utilities and infrastructure sectors.
As part of their South African growth strategy, they are expanding regional sales operations and require a hands-on leader to establish, grow and lead the Cape Town sales branch.
This is a player-coach role requiring a commercially driven sales leader who can sell personally, build a high-performing team, and scale regional revenue.
Minimum Requirements
Strong background in B2B, technical, infrastructure, utilities, property or enterprise sales.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
Proven experience building or expanding a sales region or branch.
Advantageous: experience within a technical industry.
8 - 12 years sales experience.
Minimum 4 - 6 years in a Sales Leadership Role.
Willing to travel between regions as required.
Roles and Responsibilities
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms in line with company strategy.
Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and pricing dynamics.
Recruit, train, mentor, and performance-manage sales staff.
Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM reporting.
Build a performance-driven sales culture focused on execution and results.
Personally drive new business development in the Western Cape.
Establish clear KPIs, accountability, and sales discipline.
Provide periodic oversight and performance input for the Johannesburg sales team.
Identify and develop priority sales verticals and channels.
Prepare regular sales performance reports for senior management.
Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with national objectives.
Lead from the front with a strong player-coach mentality.
Open, manage, and close key B2B accounts within utilities, metering, property, and infrastructure sectors.
Own regional sales targets, pipeline, and gross-profit delivery.
