    The Spinal Injuries Unit are looking for enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join their team in a full time or part time capacity. Located at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, successful applicants will deliver safe compassionate clinical care; working collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve best practice patient outcomes.

    About The Role

    The Spinal Injuries Unit is a part of the Queensland Spinal Cord Injuries Service (QSCIS) and is a 40 bed unit servicing all of Queensland. It is situated at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, in close proximity to all other acute medical services that are required to successfully manage a person with spinal cord injuries. Rehabilitation services are provided by an experienced multi-disciplinary professional team.

    It is the only Spinal Injuries Unit in Queensland. It provides a unique service being the only Spinal Injuries Unit in Australia that provides acute care, primary rehabilitation, transitional rehabilitation, outpatient services and outreach services and readmission care from the one facility.

    The Registered Nurse (RN) in the spinal injuries' unit delivers safe compassionate clinical care; working collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve best practice patient outcomes. The RN engages in reflective, analytical practice through effective assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of direct person-centred care. The RN continually improves their skills and knowledge developing from graduate to highly skilled Registered Nurse.
