Relief Process Operator: Temporary (Jacobs) at AECI Limited

AECI Specialty Chemicals is looking to recruit 5x Relief Process Operator to work on a temporary basis in Jacobs. To fulfil the production process of a manufacturing facility, monitoring equipment to ensure quality, efficiency and safety of the plant. The Relief Process Operators are also responsible for the safe operation, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of the facility’s equipment and instruments.

Duties & Responsibilities    

•  Loading and offloading tankers and containers together with weighbridge operation.
•  Assisting with basic/fundamental activities around the distillation plant.
•  Perform daily tank stock take by physically dipping and recording tank levels.
•  Emptying day receiver by transferring into finished products tanks.
•  Sample all products before tank transfers and decanting.
•  Drumming and binning off final products in accordance to the job card.
•  Preparing & charging material into reactors
•  Reports on and maintain housekeeping of the entire ground floor.
•  Driving of forklift in order to facilitate job function.
•  Completion of shift logs and other relevant documentation.
•  Ensure process safety and reporting thereof.
•  Ensure that the company’s safety, health, environmental and quality standards are adhered to.

Qualifications & Experience    

•  Matric / Grade 12.
•  Preferably have NQF Level 3: Chemical Operations qualification.
•  Minimum 2 years’ or necessary experience in a chemical manufacturing plant in a similar role.
•  Computer literate in MS Office to create and complete spreadsheets & documents.
