Reporting Team: Financial Analyst at Old Mutual South Africa

Job Description

The appointment will be made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the specific business unit in question.

This role is responsible for providing support on the interim and annual reporting process, including other key external reporting projects. The incumbent will work closely with the reporting manager, head of reporting and other key stakeholders within the broader Old Mutual business.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation and collation of financial and non-financial information required for the interim and annual reporting process

• Assist with robust financial analysis and reporting to the Board, Executive management team and other key stakeholders

• Working closely with the Investor Relations team, playing a key support role in reporting to the external market, with focus on analyst presentations, trading statement etc

• Working with key stakeholders that include but are not limited to Group Technical Accounting, Group Actuarial, Group Treasury and Balance Sheet, to ensure all published reporting is accurate and presented consistently with the other external reporting deliverables

• Provide support to projects and deliverables that require financial input

Requirements, Qualifications and Experience required

• Minimum requirement: Recently qualified CA(SA)

• Good powerpoint skills

• Attention to detail

• Strong analytical skills

• Good communication skills – able to present complex reporting matters / issues

• Able to assimilate a significant amount of information

• Work under pressure in stressful environment

• Motivated self-starter
