Research Assistant at Desmond Tutu Health Foundation

Requirements

• Degree in Social Sciences or Public Health (post graduate degree advantageous)
• At least 1 years’ experience in a similar role within a research environment
• At least 1 years’ experience in quantitative (survey) and qualitative (interviews and focus group discussions) data collection and quality control
• Fluency in English and IsiXhosa
• Proficient in Microsoft office
• Excellent interpersonal and listening skills, including a non-judgmental attitude
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
• Strong organizational, oral and writing skills
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
• Ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and to maintain effectiveness during changing conditions

Advantageous:

• Current Good Clinical Practice certification.
• Previous work experience in fields of HIV, sexual health and, or with adolescents
• Experience with qualitative analysis
