RHHC Deputy Nursing Services Manager at Lenmed Private Hospitals

Main Focus Areas

• The Deputy Nursing Manager will be responsible for the clinical nursing management of the hospital. This includes the co-ordination of all functions and activities related to the provision, promotion and assurance of clinical patient care, via the leadership of a multidisciplinary team in consultation with all relevant stakeholders

Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

• Ensure 100 % reporting of all incidents and alerts
• Investigate and Report all incidents as per Lenmed / Hospital policy
• Ensure that you provide safe, cost effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of Lenmed / hospital and evidence based practice
• Evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes
• Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees
• Ensure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions are adhered to
• Implement group quality initiatives
• Identify areas of non-compliance via units clinical audits

Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

• A relevant nursing qualification (Diploma/Degree in General Nursing, PGDip Health Services Management)
• 2-3 Years relevant Management experience in a private sector
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
• Sound financial knowledge and the ability to interpret financial data
• Computer literacy
