Job Description

As a Senior Manager in the Deloitte Analytics practice, you will need to understand the business and insurance industry trends, and help clients comprehend and manage their data to better deliver information and insights to improve their organisational performance and manage their risk. You will need to help clients maximize the potential of analytics and information to support their business objectives and improve their business strategy.

Your typical duties will include building high performing teams to deliver in client engagements, translate broader strategies into a compelling team vision and goals, application of deep knowledge of disruptive trends and competitor activity to drive continuous improvement and support the Data Analytics leadership in the implementation of strategic plans through the effective management of the team.

Technical Competencies

• Practical knowledge of insurance processes and operations
• Practical knowledge of IFRS17 from a data and systems perspective
• Ability to organize functional work based on how it adds value and where it needs to be performed to position the business/client to gain competitive advantage

Qualifications

Preference will be provided to candidates with bachelor’s degree or related qualifications/ experience such as:

• Information technology or business informatics
• Computer science or engineering
• Other relevant data and analytics qualifications

Experience

• 7 - 10 Years practical experience gained within the Insurance industry, in Life and/ or General with exposure to Insurance processes, operations, data and innovation.
• Digital transformation
• Advanced analytics use cases in Insurance
• Managing of data projects
• Senior Management Experience
• Demonstrated ability with assisting businesses in deriving value from existing data
• Previous consulting experience will be advantageous together with business development
• Demonstrated experience working across multiple functional projects to understand data usage and implications for data management.
• Comfort with C-Level relationships
