    Sales Manager - Ekurhuleni (East Rand)

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies
    • Lead sales team members to achieve sales targets
    • Successfully achieve own sales target and budget
    • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
    • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers
    • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales department
    • “Mentor” representatives where required in order to increase sales, market share and profitability
    • Engage with each representative, identify market opportunities, growth segments, and advise on building relationships with top customers, specifiers, merchants etc.
    • Coach, monitor and analyse performance metrics and suggest improvements
    • Manage representatives KPA’s and implement necessary corrective action
    • Weekly reporting on activities and sales to be monitored. Timeous intervention required when targets not met.
    • Ensure continues growth and profitability of all branches
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
    • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
    • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs.
    • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency
    • Keep abreast of new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board
    • Implement Customer centricity program and thus enhancing customer experience
    • Analyse sales data on sales results and develop plans to address performance gaps
    • Build and maintain positive healthy relationships with all customers and prospective customers

    Key Performance Areas

    • Sales Revenue Achievement- as per annual budget
    • Gross Profit – Achieve targets as per annual targets
    • EBITDA - Achieve targets as per annual targets
    • Business development – Growth of Market Share in Gauteng Area as per Budget Initiatives
    • Project Market – Establish company as the preferred supplier to all Approved Contractors in the Gauteng area.
    • Gross Profit – Maximise on gross profit against budget by improvement of value chain offering.
    • OTIF – Actual days achieved.
    • Credits as a % of sales - Actual % v agreed target
    • Stock - Stock Levels - Actual stock level at month end as per targets
    • Stock - Aged Stock – Identify and Implement a system to channel aged stock into the market to maintain aged stock below 5% of overall stock.
    • Learning & Development - Development of Self
    • Learning & Development - Development of Others
    • Contribution to company culture - Adherence to and promotion of the vital behaviours

    Qualifications & Experience Required

    • Diploma/Degree in Sales would be advantageous
    • Previous working experience as a Sales Manager for a minimum of 5-8 years
    • In depth knowledge of managing a high-performance sales team
    • Hands on experience with CRM software
    • Applicable experience of sales performance metrics, at least 5 years.
    • In Depth understanding and knowledge of roofing products and in particular all company products
    • Be able to read and understand technical drawings and project specifications
    • Knowledge and understanding of Syspro
    • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Customer oriented with strong negotiation skills
    • Analytical and data driven problem solver
    • A self-motivated/ability to work in a pressurized environment
