    Sales & Promo Planner: Africa

    Introduction

    • Plan, co-ordinate and effectively communicate trading activities for the Africa division and post these event/s, to provide detailed analysis to ensure continuous learning & improvement. In conjunction with category planning, set and agree (parallel planned) promotional forecasts, and ensure effective execution of promotional policy.

    Job description

    • Consolidate submissions for consideration towards trading activity
    • Support the execution and implementation of the Integrated Launch Framework (ILF) and aligning it to Trade activity
    • Develop strong & productive relationships across Africa commercial teams and marketing
    • Work with the Africa commercial teams to ensure accurate and timely input into the Trading Plan and Face of Foods.
    • Continuously review submissions to ensure alignment to promotional KPI’s.
    • Competitor tracking, analysis and reporting (Customer insights and Promo & Pricing strategy).
    • To continuously look for easier ways to work and efficiencies.
    • Accurate validation of promotional information in line with agreed promotional processes
    • Adherence and delivery of the agreed Trade Plan, Face of Foods and promotional ticketing
    • Implement promotional and ILF processes accurately and timeously to ensure 100% promotional activation
    • Work with the Africa commercial teams to help them develop a trading plan that will help them achieve their sales and profit budgets

    Minimum requirements

    • Retail / Business Management diploma/degree or equivalent
    • Retail / Commercial or Marketing experience(3yrs) preferably within the rest of Africa market
    • Project Planning and management (2yrs)
    • Good understanding of Project Management logic & Methodologies
    • Ability to analyse and interpret financial indicators and can set and manage promotional budgets
    • Able to conduct promotional cost benefit analysis and to understand causes of problems and develop workable solutions
    • Able to gather, analyse and assess relevant information of past, current or future events, trends or situations and to make informed business decisions
    • High degree of commercial awareness and is able to make the links between product quality, pricing, profit and customer value
    • Able to produce promotional ticketing for each trading phase to support the Africa trade plan
    • Able to implement the promotional ticketing process accurately and timeously to ensure 100% promotional activation
    • Fully computer literate i.e. advanced Excel, data mining, spreadsheet analysis as well Adobe InDesign
    • Effective influencing / assertive communication skills
    • Experience in working within Africa markets is highly advantageous
