    Job Description

    Technical Sales Representative  

    • Our client, a well-established and highly respected provider of advanced vehicle security solutions, is seeking a technically strong and commercially driven Technical Sales Representative to grow market presence and drive sales of its premium product range within the Gauteng Region.
    • This is an exciting opportunity for an automotive security professional who combines hands-on technical expertise with relationship-driven sales ability. The role offers a hybrid work structure, autonomy, strong earning potential, and the opportunity to represent cutting-edge CAN-bus and non-CAN vehicle security technology within a trusted and innovative brand.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets for vehicle security products
    • Manage, grow, and retain an established customer base including automotive dealerships, fitment centres, auto-electricians, and fleet operators
    • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within the automotive security market
    • Prepare accurate quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and close sales in line with company policies
    • Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to promote products and strengthen market presence
    • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, providing first-line technical support
    • Conduct technical product demonstrations and presentations aligned to customer requirements
    • Maintain expert-level knowledge of vehicle security products including installation requirements, vehicle compatibility, and system functionality
    • Provide basic product and installation training to customer technicians and sales teams
    • Prepare and submit accurate weekly and monthly sales reports including pipeline forecasts and market intelligence
    • Maintain disciplined CRM and administrative records to support management reporting and decision-making

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical industry experience)
    • Minimum 5 years' proven experience in technical sales, account management, or business development within the automotive security, vehicle electronics, or manufacturing industry
    • Strong technical proficiency in vehicle electronics, wiring, immobilisation systems, alarms, and automotive security products
    • Established customer base within automotive dealerships, fitment centres, auto-electricians, or fleet operators
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
    • Highly self-motivated, well-organised, and able to manage time and priorities independently
    • Valid driver's license with willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
