    Sales Representative - Fire&Security

    What you will do
    The Sales Representative – Fire & Security will be reporting directly to the Sales Manager, CF&S South Africa. As part of a growing team, located in Isando, you will be responsible for delivering a sales target in South Africa territory across the Fire & Security portfolio.You will be concentrated on selling fire detection, suppression, sprinkler, exit control and fire protection products, growing our market share with new business customers which include contractors, consultants, mining, universities, hospitals, residents. As a member of this team, you will work within a vibrant environment that provides a platform for you to use your experience to generate new business.

    How you will do it
    As a Sales Representative, you will chase, qualify and close new sales opportunities not only in Isando but across South Africa region by creating competitive, high quality proposals and also take part in tendering and bidding process. You’ll demonstrate your expertise by differentiating Johnson Controls, leveraging your deep market knowledge of our competitor’s strategies, products and services; you will design fire systems and compile tender documents.You will build relationships with customers typically at director level of medium to large sized accounts, understand needs and offer technically complex or a breadth of solutions within some ability to adjust pricing and margin, subject to set business parameters. You will service and support existing customer accounts in assigned geographic area, with a high sales target or quota.You are focused to seek and develop long term customer relationships, and self-motivated to drive your territory growth. You’re determined and consistent in your approach to work, managing multiple priorities simultaneously because of your excellent planning, and time management skills.

    Desired Skills and Experience
    Required 

    • Degree in similar majors
    • Experience Lenel software
    • Min 6 years of progressive field sales experience in security, fire protection and fire alarm systems for a large, premier service entity preferred
    • Electrical experience, specifically in the commercial industry
    • Familiarity with applicable codes (i.e. NFPA 72. NFPA 70)
    • Demonstrated experience in compiling complicated tenders and proposals for fire projects
    • Design experience in overall fire & security systems
    • Demonstrated ability to influence the market at key levels
    • Knowledge of access control, IP Video Systems and basic networking
    • Ability to design technical solutions, work independently, work-oriented, select equipment and advise customers on solutions
    • Proven track record of delivering sales within the South Africa
    • Determined, results driven, strong sales drive
