Job Description:

• As our Sampler,your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Safe and Healthy Work Environment

• Adhere tall health and safety practices requirements.
• Promote good housekeeping tensure compliance and an environment where team members can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment.
• Active participation in SLAMs, HPHs, relevant Risk Assessments and close-out of Safety Actions.
• Performance and Delivery
• Sampling Coordination
• Collect samples from open pit operations on an ad hoc basis.
• Conduct sampling processes in accordance with company policies and procedures within specified timeframes.
• Capture and record all relevant sampling criteria for effective sample handling and identification.
• Crush and spilt samples according tspecified sizes for quality assurance.
• Ensure proper sampling from all exploration areas, including the red permit region, tsupport management decision-making.
• Delineation (applicable tProduction Geology):
• Delineation of blast blocks - walking on muck piles.
• Preparing delineation boards and poles with stickers tindicate material classes
• Pegging of RC Drill holes in the pit.

Quality Assurance

• Conduct QA/QC checks on captured samples and ensure accurate data collection in all exploration areas.
• Equipment Operation
• Operate the LDV for the movement of samples and materials as needed.
• Use crushing equipment effectively tprepare ore samples for quality checks.
• Maintain the functionality of all equipment through regular cleaning and inspection.

Sample Handling

• Load and unload sample boxes, ensuring accurate painting and labelling.
• Pack sample boxes intracks according tstandard procedures.

Housekeeping

• Perform housekeeping duties tmaintain a clean and contamination-free environment.
• Ensure equipment is regularly checked and cleaned tprevent pollution.

General Assistance

• Provide support tthe line manager and colleagues as necessary, following company policies and procedures.
• Conduct environmental inspections for drill sites and roads, including post-rehabilitation assessments and photography for data collection.
• Assist with any ad-hoc tasks as required.

• This role is in Geology NC Hub Department on a band P5 level reporting tthe Geological Technician/Exploration Geologist/Geometallurgical Geologist/Geotechnician.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12
• Licenses tOperate LDVs
• SA Drivers License Code B

Technical Knowledge

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in sampling in the mining industry.
• Understand laboratory equipment and chemical substances.
