Description

Data Integration:

• Design, develop, and implement data integration solutions between SAP systems and cloud-based data storage.
• ETL Development:
• Create and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various source systems into target SAP and cloud databases.
• Data Modeling:
• Develop and maintain data models to support reporting and analytical requirements, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.

Cloud Platform Utilization:

• Leverage cloud platform services and features for optimal storage, processing, and analysis of SAP data.

SAP System Integration:

• Collaborate with SAP administrators to ensure seamless integration between SAP applications and cloud-based data solutions.

Database Management:

• Manage and optimize databases in the cloud, ensuring data consistency, reliability, and performance.

Performance Tuning:

• Monitor and optimize the performance of data processing tasks, making adjustments to enhance efficiency and reduce processing times.

Data Quality Assurance:

• Implement and maintain processes for data quality assurance, including data cleansing, validation, and error handling.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.

Automation:

• Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline routine tasks, enhance data processing efficiency, and reduce manual intervention.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

Documentation:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data integration processes, data models, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay informed about the latest SAP and cloud technologies, evaluate new tools and methodologies, and recommend improvements to existing processes.

Troubleshooting:

• Identify and resolve issues related to data integration, ETL processes, and data quality, working closely with IT support teams when necessary.

Training and Knowledge Sharing:

• Provide training and knowledge sharing sessions for team members and end-users on best practices, tools, and techniques related to SAP data engineering in a cloud environment.

Minimum Requirements

• SAP Data Integration: SAP Data Services, SAP BW (Business Warehouse), and SAP HANA.
• Cloud Platform Knowledge: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Understanding of cloud-based data storage solutions, such as Amazon S3, Azure Data Lake Storage, or Google Cloud Storage.
• Big Data Technologies:  Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and related tools for processing and analyzing large datasets.
• SQL and Data Query Languages: Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data stored in SAP and cloud databases.
• Data Modeling and Design:  Experience in designing and implementing data models to support analytical and reporting requirements.
• Data Warehousing: Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices, especially in the context of SAP environments.
• ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Processes: Expertise in designing and implementing ETL processes to move and transform data between SAP systems and cloud data storage.
• Data Governance and Security: Knowledge of data governance principles and experience implementing security measures to protect sensitive data in compliance with industry regulations.
• Scripting and Programming: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) and programming languages to automate tasks and enhance data processing capabilities.
• Version Control and Collaboration Tools: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools to work efficiently in a team environment.
• Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to data processing and integration.
