Purpose

• As an Agile expert, empower teams to collaborate and make effective decisions promoting adaptive planning, evolutionary development, early delivery and continuous improvement. Encourage rapid and flexible response to change ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and return on Investment. Serve as functional or client needs expert for projects. Complete project management activities according to defined service level commitments and process compliance guidelines
• Product Owner Collaboration / Project Management Activities
• Ensure that identified agile software progress metrics are in place and that the team and product owner are enabled to input data for said metrics. Responsible for collating and preparing metric data on a regular basis using repeatable methods
• Assist self-managing teams to coordinate resources and accepted work
• Monitor the team's work flow
• Assist the product owner in maintaining a product strategy/roadmap, including competitive and market positioning
• Work with the product owners to identify software product releases are planned well
• Ensure that the cost of engineering meets targets through impediment removal and identification, adherence to agile process, and that an agile streamlined escalation process is in place for changes that impact iteration completion or that introduces a significant scope/schedule increase.
• Ensure engineering processes embrace the engineering standards, tools and reusable assets as defined for the overall Software portfolio in the project data management plan that is compatible with both incremental document development and project data management coverage needs

Product skills and capabilities development

• Guide the development of tools, such as diagnostics, methodologies, toolkits, data repositories, job aids, and topic pages, to ensure that practice professionals can access the best examples of strategically important knowledge and assets quickly and easily.
• Work with Capability Development to design and implement learning strategies that may include training, knowledge management, and collaboration activities that foster take-up of products, enable specialization, and accelerate sales & delivery skills. Includes participation in expert networks, and publish/stimulate utilization of experts
• Facilitate ADM/ Scrum Framework process compliance inspections and artefact creation and inspections.
• Participate on Agile BD activities as applicable

Team Success

• Ensure team compliance with agile scrum framework/ADM
• Facilitate process activities of Agile software development/scrum encouraging and supporting the teams to self-manage their iterations using a servant-leader management style
• Remove barriers to team effectiveness
• Ensure that the team is delivering software within the accepted quality standards by facilitating a working definition of completion for Agile stories within each team
• Tracks team capacity and velocity metrics for planning purposes
• Ensure self-organized team's continuous improvement – Monitor and coach
• Protect the team from outside distractions.
• Develop people through coaching and by fostering a positive work environment
• Schedule, plan and facilitate collaboration per the Scrum framework, daily stand-up meetings, regular iteration reviews and planning meetings between the team, Product Owner, and stakeholders
• Schedule and facilitate regular team retrospective meetings per the scrum framework
• Challenge the team to implement team operational improvements.
• Encourage and instill process improvements
• Active in the Agile CoP and consult with other Scrum Masters and teams
• Assist self-managing teams to coordinate resources and accepted work
• Monitor the team's workflow
