Grade 12 certificate, National senior certificate, or NQF Level 4. A minimum of 1 year experience as a secretary in a hospital environment will be an added advantage.
Must be computer literate in the Microsoft Office suite(package). Proficient users of the Microsoft package will be subjected to a test. Excellent communication and writing skills with good interpersonal relations.

Duties :
Compile and align staff establishment with the human resource department. Provide administrative support in terms of adhering to personal enquiries of staff directly reporting to Nursing Management. Provide administrative support services with regard to meetings, including taking minutes. Execute office and general administrative duties.
Compile and prepare an allocation list for the nursing department, and also coordinate the after-hours roster monthly. Manage the electronic document tracking system.
Manage the diary of the Nursing Service Manager, including typing of documents, reports, and correspondence. Effective records management and filing systems. Keep a record of the annual South African Nursing Council certificates for all nurses. Effective use of resources and consumables. Relieve the Admin clerk in the nursing management office when on leave.
