Job Description:
As our Section Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Effective shift handover and leading the implementation of OM
• Implement and contribute to continuous improvement and asset optimisation initiatives and projects to ensure best practice engineering processes are in place
• Monitoring all work and services to ensure compliance
• Ensuring collaboration and engagement among teams which include assessing training needs of employees and contractors and allocating resources accordingly
• Stakeholder relationship management
• Managing the maintenance budget for your area
• Getting equipment availability and reliability to be on target and ensure plant DOH targets are achieved
• Lead safety by conducting VFL’s and monitoring of critical controls
• Ensuring that all SHEQ targets relating to Mine Health and Safety are met

This role is in the Engineering Department on a Band 6 level reporting to the Manager Engineering

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (minimum BTech or Diploma with 10+ years relevant experience)
• GCC Mechanical or Electrical
• Code 8 driver’s license

Experience

• 5 or more years’ experience as a legally appointed engineer within the engineering maintenance environment in the mining industry (with Engineering Degree) or 10 or more years’ experience in mining (with Diploma)
