    Security & Market Safety Cluster Manager

    Your day to day
    Business Alignment & Visibility

    • Evaluate emerging business and operational models for potential Security & Market Safety risk exposure and gaps; highlight risks/exposures with Security & Market Safety partners, including the Senior Manager, Security & Market Safety, and affiliate management
    • Maintain situational awareness of the cluster's countries, incorporating external and internal risk exposure and incident trends, in order to inform business decision-making processes.
    • Maintain regular communication with affiliate (commercial and manufacturing) management, other partners, and functional peers to ensure that Security & Market Safety strategies and service levels are in line with company strategy and objectives.
    • Ensure direct/indirect reports maintain engagement with all employees up to the senior leadership team in order to create ownership for fleet safety programs; ensure local Security & Market Safety leads engage with Sales departments and working tool/benefit car drivers in order to ensure fleet safety standards are understood and adhered to Program Delivery
    • Conduct functional assessments/reviews at the affiliate level; identify and address non-conformities.
    • Supervise the implementation of PMI market and fleet safety strategies and standard methodologies in assigned markets. Create safeguards, contingency plans, and emergency response procedures.
    • Ensure proper reporting of Market and Fleet Safety incidents/metrics; maintain quality control/oversight of root cause analyses and security or safety-related investigations; review and approve corrective action measures, and track/validate implementation

    Awareness & Training

    • Ensure local delivery of security, market safety, and fleet safety training/awareness programs—as per PMI and local regulatory requirements within clustered markets/affiliates—to build a robust and balanced Security & Market Safety culture. Assist market/affiliate management with tactical and practical emergency response management
    • Ensure that local Security & Market Safety leads communicate relevant information to employees at functional meetings, such as security/safety briefs, alerts, instructions, and refreshers. Ensure that local Security and Market Safety leaders keep up-to-date training records in accordance with PMI requirements and applicable OHS and Fleet Safety legislation.

    Organisational Development

    • Through coaching and mentoring, develop the skills and capabilities of local Security & Market Safety teams and collaborators in order to raise the vital skills and knowledge across the cluster .

    Share Best Practices

    • Promote the exchange of standard processes among affiliates and markets. Participated in projects and initiatives involving cross-market, cross-functional, and cross-regional partnership.

    Performance, Reporting & Incident and Emergency Response Management

    • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of Security & Market Safety-related incident and event reporting. Review and consolidate related metrics and KPIs in order to provide focused and detailed reports; call out trends and critical issues to appropriate levels of management.
    • Be responsible for develop, implement, and lead emergency response protocols for people, businesses, assets, and reputation against natural and human-made disasters. On a regular basis, review and keep up to date protocols. Handle security and market/fleet safety incident investigation, analysis, and reporting, as well as the retention of incident records, in order to identify patterns, causes, and provide guidance/recommendations to prevent incident recurrence. Ability to mobilize as a part of a security/safety response team to incidents / events.

    What we are looking for

    • Completed bachelor’s degree with relevant postgraduate Professional Certifications and/or Occupational Trainings
    • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a corporate environment in an Africa Cluster/sub-regional security/safety manager role or equivalent is a key requirement
    • Previous experience conducting security risk assessments and security or safety audits, knowledge of supply chain security standards (e.g., TAPA, C-TPAT), OHS training or certifications (such as NIOSH or equivalent)
    • Proven expertise in specialist security systems and market safety tools, as well as hands-on experience dealing with national and international security issues
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, highly motivated, and use imitative to complete security/safety related tasks
    • Proficiency in english
    • Must be willing to travel throughout the region and on occasion outside the region (up to 40% travel required)
       

    Other Key Abilities And Requirements

    • Ability to management and implement standard methodologies for crisis management and emergency response
    • knowledge of fleet safety standard methodologies a significant advantage
