Senior certificate/ Grade 12 or equivalent/NQF level 6 National Diploma: Security Management with five (5) years relevant experience in a security environment, and three (3) years relevant experience in supervision is required.
PSIRA grade A training certificate. (New PSIRA Certificate) Knowledge required: Threat and Risk assessment, Disaster Management and Emergency planning, presentation: Public service and departmental procedures: MISS, MPSS, Firearm control: Fire Prevention Act: OHSA, Protection of information act. Ability to supervise security service providers.
Computer literacy in the following applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) is essential. Good communication skills (verbal and written) have a valid driver’s licence.
Duties :
Conducting security awareness campaigns, conducting investigations, and managing a private security company. Conduct quarterly threat and risk assessments. Issue security access cards.
Supervise the control room. Provide inputs for the development and implementation of policies, guidelines, norms and standards. Identify threats to improve the overall security. Perform supervisory duties. Perform any other duties delegated by the supervisor.
