Security Software Engineer at AES Africa

Role Summary

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Security Software Engineer to be part of a dynamic team within a hugely successful e-commerce provider!

You will need to be experienced in wrighting code and building systems, with solid understanding of Networking and defensive systems.

Day to day:

• Architecting and implementing technical solutions to support defensive security
• Timeously responding to all security incidents
• Deploying, operating, and monitoring SIEM, IPS/IDS
• Working with DevOps to secure the platform, hardening servers, networks, Kubernetes
• Working with Application teams to secure code,

Qualifications:

• BCom Degree in Computer Science

Knowledge and Skills:

• SIEM, IDS/IPS, Canaries, Fail2Ban
• Python
• Kafka, Apache Beam, Apache Metron, Apache Spark
• Kubernetes, Docker
• TCP, UDP, IP, nmap, wireshark
• Puppet, Chef, Ansible
