RPO Recruitment's client is in the Consulting Engineering industry and is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team of professionals in Johannesburg.
Responsibilities:
Payroll
Processing books of account Xero, Sage, Pastel
VAT reconciliations, preparation and submission
Management accounts and company accounting records (reviews for external clients)
Training of accounting staff (about 5 – 6 accountants)
Client liaison and correspondence
High level understanding and application of accounting standards
High level understanding of taxation (companies and individuals – to assess impact of transactions on company and directors)
Monthly billings process
Time management of all accounting staff
Other ad hoc
Requirements
Honours degree would be an advantage; We would also look at qualified CA’s
Candidate has at least 10 years experience, of which 3 – 5 years in a management role
