Ideal applicants will have extensive consultancy expertise within the environmental Acoustics sector, with a focus on infrastructure and energy development. They will also hold a BSc or MSc in Acoustics or Noise and Vibration Control, an IoA diploma, and Full or Associate IoA membership.
Other favorable experience and skills include:
Proven project management
Financial management
Team management and support/training
Involvement with rail and road projects
Involvement with Energy Projects (wind farms)
Knowledge of building acoustics
Modeling with industry standard software (for example, CadnaA)
Understanding or current UK and EU legislation

Duties
Carry out Environmental Impact Assessments
Manage noise issues related to the planning process
Summaries data interpretations and provide conclusions
Work as a team member and assist in projects and finances on a number of large developments
Contribute to group expansion and develop and maintain business negotiation of new business,
Undertake environmental noise and vibration surveys and assessments,
Submitting proposals to clients
Preparation of high quality reports and specifications
Project and client meetings

Mentoring more junior members of the team
Consulting during the initial project design stages; communicating with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and the communities
