Senior Acoustic Consultant at Penguin Recruitment

• Ideal applicants will have extensive consultancy expertise within the environmental Acoustics sector, with a focus on infrastructure and energy development. They will also hold a BSc or MSc in Acoustics or Noise and Vibration Control, an IoA diploma, and Full or Associate IoA membership.

Other favorable experience and skills include:

• Proven project management
• Financial management

• Involvement with rail and road projects
• Involvement with Energy Projects (wind farms)
• Knowledge of building acoustics
• Modeling with industry standard software (for example, CadnaA)
• Understanding or current UK and EU legislation
• Experience of noise mapping

• Client relationship development

Duties

• Carry out Environmental Impact Assessments
• Manage noise issues related to the planning process
• Summaries data interpretations and provide conclusions
• Work as a team member and assist in projects and finances on a number of large developments
• Contribute to group expansion and develop and maintain business negotiation of new business,
• Undertake environmental noise and vibration surveys and assessments,
• Submitting proposals to clients
• Preparation of high quality reports and specifications
• Project and client meetings

• Project management
• Mentoring more junior members of the team
• Consulting during the initial project design stages; communicating with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and the communities
• Assisting with environmental approvals and permits
• Developing and implementing environmental management plans
