Senior Analyst - Finance Systems Implementation at Hire Resolve

Job Description

• A South African financial technology company that digitizes commerce and drives financial inclusion across Southern Africa, providing transactional accounts, lending, insurance, merchant card acquiring, cash management, and alternative digital payments via its ecosystem, is seeking a Senior Analyst who will serve as the functional-technical bridge between Finance, IT, and external implementation partners across strategic finance tools (ERP, Procurement, Financial Consolidation).

Responsibilities:

• Liaison: Act as the primary interface between implementation partners, internal IT, and finance users through design, build, test, and deployment phases.
• Translation: Convert business requirements into technical specs for partners/IT, and translate technical constraints into clear terms for business stakeholders.
• Solution Validation: Review proposed architecture, designs, and data models to flag risks or misalignment before production.
• Conflict Resolution: Facilitate trade-offs and escalate conflicts between technical feasibility and business needs.
• Architecture & Data Flows: Maintain oversight of system architecture and end-to-end data flows (e.g., Procurement → ERP → Consolidation → Reporting) to ensure data integrity.
• Integrations: Partner with IT on integration design (APIs, middleware, batch/real-time flows) without coding them directly.
• Testing Management: Lead UAT and test planning by defining business scenarios, validating data outcomes, and coordinating key-user testing.
• Documentation: Maintain complete, accessible functional specs, process flows, data dictionaries, and integration maps.
• Change Management: Support training and change efforts to help users adapt to new system behaviors and processes.
• Project Oversight & Hypercare: Track technical build risks/dependencies and support post-go-live hypercare, continuous improvement, and enhancement identification.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT / Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years directly involved in finance system implementations (ERP, Procurement, or Consolidation), covering at least one full project phase (design, build, test, or deploy).
• Cross-Functional Experience: Proven experience bridging communications between business, IT, and consulting partners.
• Platforms: Exposure to enterprise tools like SAP, Oracle, Sage, MS Dynamics (ERP); Coupa, Ariba, Ivalua (Procurement); or OneStream, Hyperion, SAP BPC/Group Reporting (Consolidation).
• Consulting Background: Prior experience with Big 4 or major systems implementation consulting partners.
• Niche Systems / Cloud: Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data architecture, or functional exposure to Anaplan / Fluence (planning and consolidation).
• Finance Knowledge: Deep understanding of core processes (R2R, P2P, Consolidation, Reporting) within enterprise software.
• Systems & Data Literacy: Ability to read architecture diagrams, trace data elements end-to-end, and evaluate integration specs.
• Querying & Project Tools: Working knowledge of SQL (or data query tools) for independent data validation; familiarity with Agile/Hybrid delivery methodologies.
