Senior Analyst (Risk & Performance) - Cape Town at RisCura

Purpose of Job

• Providing portfolio investment analysis and reporting.  
• Providing advanced technical support to the RisCura Analytics team. 
• Supporting the RisCura Analytics management team.

Monthly/Daily Tasks

Manage key service lines and products. 

Work with the broader team to: 

• Agree and plan work deliverables and priorities. 
• Deal with large quantities of portfolio and market data. 
• Retrieve, validate, reconcile, analyse and prepare data for daily, monthly and quarterly deliverables. 
• Interrogate and analyse data to produce client reports. 
• Interpret and analyse report results.  
• Safeguard the integrity of sensitive client data. 
• Manually recalculate and verify statistics. 
• Review and sign-off reports generated by fellow analysts. 
• Provide ad hoc analyses and supporting output. 
• Respond to report queries as required. 

Work with the team to improve work practises: 

• Suggesting and generating ideas for improvement of current or development of future technical solutions, tools and platforms. 
• Contributing to the establishment of in quality management processes. 
• Identify inefficient areas of data flow processes and assist in increasing efficiency with Head of Operations and other Senior Analysts.  
• Contributing to the training and upskilling of portfolio analysts. 
• Participating in the development and establishment of processes, practices and methodologies to facilitate teamwork tasks. 

Provide support to the RisCura Analytics management team: 

• Align oneself with the broader team culture and strategic objectives as set up by management. 
• Manage team meetings. 
• Mentor junior staff within the team. 
• Assist in managing team capacity/work allocation to meet team deliverables.  
• Drive Project Work i.e., prioritising tasks, allocating work within the team, and ensuring deliverables are met.  
• Review and manage the JIRA process i.e., prioritizing tasks and liaising with the development team as required. 
• Managing key client relationships. 
• Provide advanced technical and system support to the broader team.
