    Key Performance Areas

    Job Requirements

    • Lead and manage all the machine shop tasks and departmental objectives. 
    • Lead and coordinate SAFARI-1 manufacturing, machining, and fabrication activities.
    • Review, plan, and execute manufacturing requests in support of reactor operations and maintenance.
    • Liaise with Advanced Manufacturing/external service providers to ensure effective delivery of manufacturing tasks.
    • Develop and maintain manufacturing procedures, technical documentation, and work instructions.
    • Prepare and submit quarterly reports on machine shop activities, performance, and completed work.
    • Initiate and manage internal and external procurement processes for machine shop requirements. (i.e. RFQ & IWO’s).
    • Prepare, coordinate manufacturing drawings with drawing office and evaluate suppliers for manufacturing services, tools, and equipment.
    • Coordinate the procurement of machine shop tools, consumables, spare parts, and measuring instruments.
    • Oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance of CNC machines and other workshop equipment.
    • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational requirements while promoting continuous improvement within the machine shop.
    • Precision manufacturing of unique & intricate components used in reactor facilities (Nuclear).
    • Aiding Engineering development of specialized tooling (e.g. irradiation rigs) in reactor facilities (Nuclear).
    • Assembling of Irradiation rigs required for Isotope production (Nuclear).
    • Procurement of required material and tooling.
    • Lead and manage all the machine shop tasks and departmental objectives.
    • Prepare and submit quarterly reports on machine shop activities, performance, and completed work.
    • Oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance of CNC machines and other workshop equipment.
    • Assist to develop skills of other Machinists (Skills Transfer).

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Matriculation certificate.
    • Certified Instrument Maker / Machinist / Toolmaker.
    • Computer literacy certificate. (compulsory).

    Minimum Experience

    • 5 Years in Instrument Maker / Machinist / Toolmaker experience (preferably 2 years thereof in Nuclear Environment).
