To independently conduct Cold Chain Services according to standard protocols as prescribed through PPECB’s legislative mandate.
Inspection of all cold chain equipment applicable to the region.
Monitor temperatures and supervise container loading at various loading points.
Ensure the correct application of quality management systems, procedures, and work instructions.
Perform administrative tasks.
Supervision of juniors and temporary personnel.
Provide technical support to subordinates.
Assist with training of subordinates.
Assist management to manage cost drivers
Identify and limit risks in all business processes
Build and maintain good relations with PPECB clients.
Communicate with various clients on own specific task and outcome of decisions
Participate in the relief duty roster
Accept the responsibility of continuous self-improvement in their area of responsibility according to the PPECB performance framework
Job Requirements
A Grade 12 certificate or relevant qualification with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience as a competent Cold Chain Assessor. (verification of assessment required on two main products)
Thorough understanding and theoretical knowledge of the processes involved in all cold chain activities.
Knowledge and experience of all cold chain services relevant to the specific geographical area.
Proven competence and experience on container loading, container inspection, temperature monitoring, cold store inspections, calibrations and cold treatment.
Competence in Terminal Monitoring desk, CTI/Precool desk & En-route management will be advantageous.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to work independently.
Good overall soft skills - proven completion of Supervisory course
Proven track record of taking ownership enabled by responsible and accountable behaviour.
Excellent customer service skills.
A valid code 08 driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
