Senior Bridge Engineer at AECOM

Job Summary

• Detail design of new bridges, culverts, overhead road sign gantries and other road and rail structures in accordance with TMH7, AASHTO and Eurocode;
• Detail design of bridge and culvert upgrading and rehabilitation;
• Preparation of construction drawings;
• Preparation of project specifications and bills of quantities;
• Inspection of bridges and culverts in accordance with the Degree, Extent and Relevance (DER) Bridge Management System (BMS);
• Training and management of junior engineers and technologists;
• Applying the AECOM Quality Management System (QMS) in all work.
• Liaison with clients and road/rail authorities

Minimum Requirements

• Proficiency in SOFiSTiK, Midas, AutoCad, Revit, Civil 3D and CADS RC;
• Working in BIM 360 and/or Projectwise;
• BIM Level 2 compliance;
• Registered Professional Engineer;
• Accreditation as a Bridge Inspector will be a benefit.
• Work related experience required
• Minimum ten years’ experience in the design of bridges, culverts and other road related structures;
• Experience in the inspection of bridges and culverts using the DER BMS;
• Experience in the design of bridge upgrading and rehabilitation.

Preferred Qualifications
