Description:
Reporting to the BI Director by means of supporting and maintaining the production environment

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supporting the BI Team on maintaining the production environment
• Effectively collecting & sourcing information and then correctly transforming & auditing this information
• Appropriate resolution of production issues to ensure that information is delivered according to user expectations
• Continuously identifying and improving processes & procedures
• Monitoring of the environment to proactively engage in preventative activities
• Understanding business data and information requirements
• Delivering data and information to the business in line with business priorities
• Being involved in the process populating of new data within Data Warehouse
• Taking over information delivery tasks from other areas of the business
• Provide support service to users on data and information to satisfy user needs

Education & Experience Required:

• BSc/ IT Degree/ Relevent Dip in Business Analysis
• 4-5 Years DTS experience and have worked with the new SSIS
• Advanced or expert level in SQL, writing stored procedures and general scripting
• Experience building and maintaining OLAP cubes in Analysis Services 2005 and 2008
• Experience in reporting services 2005 and have developed reports
• Experience of database design
• Qlikview experience preferred
• Test Methodologies
• Data warehousing skills
• Retail experience preferred
