Senior Buyer - Capital Projects at Rand Refinery

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Process capital expenditure purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with procurement policies and procedures.
• Validate pricing, quotations, commercial terms, and contract conditions before issuing purchase orders.
• Ensure procurement transactions are completed accurately and within agreed service levels.
• Resolve purchasing, supplier, invoice, and creditor queries timeously
• Ensure procurement transactions are completed accurately and within agreed service levels.
• Support commercial evaluation processes and sourcing activities.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and cost avoidance through supplier negotiations.
• Resolve purchasing, supplier, invoice, and creditor queries timeously.
• Coordinate and facilitate Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes for capital projects.
• Serve as the first point of contact for CAPEX sourcing requests.
• Ensure purchase orders are issued in accordance with approved contract terms and conditions.
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders and expedite deliveries.
• Provide regular updates to Project Managers and end users regarding order status and delivery timelines.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Completed Matric qualification.
• Completed NQF Level 5 qualification in Supply Chain Management or Procurement.
• 3 to 5 years' experience in a CAPEX purchasing environment.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a technical purchasing environment.
• Sound understanding of Procure-to-Pay processes.
• Knowledge of CAPEX purchasing processes and cost drivers.
• Technical purchasing knowledge related to capital projects.
